| In the 21st century, boundaries between art genres are blurred and
interaction between popular and high culture, technology and pure art, and practice and theory are active. This
new environment calls for a Renaissance image of artist that can view and picture the world transcending all
the boundaries and limits. The curriculum of the School of Visual Arts thus focuses on awakening creative and
imaginative spirit of students rather than apprenticing several techniques and skills of one specific area.
The four departments of the School of Visual Arts - the Department of Fine Art, the Department of Design,
the Department of Architecture, and the Department of Art Theory - cooperate closely to foster a professional
artist with broad and liberal ideas. Students will confidently face the challenge of the current art world
and form an original artistic world of their own through a variety of two- and three- dimensional projects. |
