Department of Art Theory
Today, works of art include every visual creation of various human cultures. The Department of Art Theory aims at nurturing art experts, who can appreciate and analyze, in depth, these various works of art. Art theory students learn oriental and occidental art history, appropriate foreign languages, several subjects in humanities, and a variety of art-related concepts and theories. The curriculum of the Department of Art Theory will make students not only develop their own critical perspectives on art works, but also understand social and cultural meanings of the works. The Department of Art Theory also encourages students to participate in practical art classes and various art events in order to bolster what they have theoretically learned.
