| Department of Architecture |
|
| The architecture program of the School of Visual Arts is oriented toward developing the student's creative
ability to deal with architectural problems on analytical, conceptual, and developmental levels. The Department
of Architecture is unique in its location in the School of Visual Arts, not in the School or College of
Engineering. Thus, the Department emphasizes creativity as well as engineering and technological aspects of
architecture, and through a series of studies in culture and society, building structure and technology, and
environmental sciences, the student will become an innovative artist with conceptual thinking and ideas. In
one word, the goal of the Department of Architecture is to produce architects who can judge and create in the
ever-changing world of architecture. |
