Department of Fine Art
The program of the Department of Fine Art includes classes on painting, sculpture, crafts, and media as well as workshops on woodcraft, etching, bronze casting, photography, metal, glass and pottery. Varied course offerings enable students to create a program of study that is suited to their different talents and interests. All freshman and sophomore students enroll in common foundation and introductory courses to examine different areas of studio art prior to selecting a major in their junior years. The junior and senior years will focus on developing philosophical concepts of arts as well as specific technical skills through studio workshops.
